      After a slow start and finding themselves in a 13 – 0 deficit, the Trojans turned it on in the last three quarters, scoring seven touchdowns while giving just a field goal and a late touchdown. Riley Kinnett had a monster night, rushing 37 times for 321 yards and four TD’s. Aiden Arteaga was 10 for 18 passing for 106 yards, a touchdown and an early interception, while rushing for 86 yards and two TD’s. Daniel Shaw also rushed for 90 yards on 14 carries. The Trojans on the night had 504 yards on the ground and 106 through the air for a total yardage of 610 yards.

      The Trojans come out strong vs, the Titans scoring four touchdowns in the first quarter, while rolling to a 46 to 6 victory.

      Trojans get a tough conference victory over the Roncalli Royals. After falling behind in the first quarter the Trojans scored twice in the 2nd to take the lead before half. Riley Kinnett led the rushing attack with 30 carries for 103 yards. Aidan Arteaga threw for 132 yards on 12 of 23 passing with a TD and rushed for another. Roman Barraza had 4 catches for 31 yards and the other TD. The defense played well, allowing the Royals only 59 yards rushing and 75 yards through the air.

      After a slow start and a 21 to 10 halftime deficit, the Trojans bounce back and play a great second half to defeat the Irish. The defense shut out the Irish for the last three quarters, by recovering two fumbles and two key interceptions by Zach Garner. Junior Daniel Shaw rushed for 118 yards on 25 carries and two touchdowns, and Colin Guy hauled in three receptions for 93 yards and the go-ahead touchdown with just under 2-minutes to play.

      The Trojans hold the Golden Eagles on 4th and goal in OT. Daniel Shaw rushed for 9 yards on the Trojans first OT play and secured the tough win with a 1 yard on second down. Sophomore QB, Jack Harrington came into the game when starting QB, Aiden Arteaga, was injured. Harrington then threw for 120 yards on 13 for 29 passing and TD to Colin Guy.

      Trojans score two TD’s in each of the first three quarters against the Fighting 59er’s. The rushing attach was strong, scoring five TD’s. Daniel Shaw had the first followed by Joe Bridenstine with four rushing TD’s. Jack Harrington was 16 of 21 passing for 171 yards and a 24-yard TD to Jack Weybright. The defense was strong allowing just 97 yards of total offense for the 59er’s.

      The Trojans have little trouble with the Blue Devils going up 42 to 0 at halftime. Colin Guy had TD catches of 11 yard and 44 yards. Daniel Shaw, Joe Bridenstine and Scott Semler (2) all had rushing TD’s.

      Trojans come out strong and go up early on the visiting Panthers, 21 to 0 halfway through the 2nd quarter. Southmore QB, Jack Harrington went 12 for 16 and 154 yards, with TD passes of 25 yards, 22 yards and 14 yards. Colin Guy was on the receiving end of two of the TD passes and Jack Weybright the third. Guy also scooped up a Panther fumble and returned it for 12-yard TD to close out the scoring. Daniel Shaw let the rush attach with 98 yards on 15 carries and a 10-yard TD to open the scoring.

      The Trojans faced the undefeated Vikings of Tippecanoe Valley in the first round of Sectional play. The defense picked off a pass on the first Viking drive and added three fumble recoveries, turning one into a TD. The Trojans allowed only 79 yards of offence through the first three quarters of play. On the offensive side, Aiden Arteaga returned from injury to complete 22 of 25 passes for 172 yards and three TD’s, two to Colin Guy and one to Jack Weybright. Daniel Shaw led the rush attack with 14 carries for 69 yards and a TD, while freshman Daniel Adams added 43 yards and a 4th quarter TD. Sam Feeney completed the scoring with 22-yard scoop and score on a Viking fumble.

      The Trojans face the Golden Eagles for the second time this season, this time in the Sectional Semi-final. After a couple of special team miscues, the Trojans find themselves in a 0 – 7 hole. The offense turned things around late in the first quarter with a 58-yard reception by Sam Feeney from Aiden Arteaga and again later in the 2nd quarter with a 46-yard reception by Colin Guy. The Arteaga to Guy connection came together early in the 4th quarter to complete the scoring. The rushing attach was led by Riley Kinnett with 161 yards while the pass attach was led by Guy with 97 yards on seven catches, and Feeney had two catches for 63-yards. The defense was solid, holding the Eagles to 25-yards rushing and 130-yards through the air.

      For the second year in a row the Trojans face off against the Huskies, this time for the Sectional Championship. The Trojans score three rushing touchdowns on 42 carries for 223-yards, two by Daniel Shaw, a 4-yarder in the second quarter and a 58-yard sideline scamper early in the third. Daniel Adams added a 4-yard TD later in the third to seal the victory. The passing attack was not as sharp as usual completing only 15 catches on 39 attempts for 192-yards. However, the Trojan scoring started with a 24-yard reception by Riley Kinnett from Aiden Arteaga in the first quarter. The defense was strong as usual, holding the Huskies to just 117-yards in total, while picking off two pass attempts and recovering a fumble.

      Trojans start the 2020 football campaign with a win over Circle City Conference rival Brebeuf Jesuit. Carter St John was 9 for 13 passing with three touchdowns. One each to Brady Kinnett, Thomas Coleman and Jackson Bolen. The Trojans rushed for 272 yards on 46 carries. Nathan Cmehil and Tommy Hannon lead the ground game with 84 yards and 83 yards respectively.

      Trojans notch a 10 – 0 shutout of the 4A # 2 East Central Trojans. Carter St John broke free in the first quarter for a 24 yard run and the games only touchdown. St John finished with 78 yards rushing on 6 carries. Nathan Cmehill added 42 rushing yards on 8 carries and Thomas Coleman had 54 receiving yards on 7 catches. The only other score came at the 4:50 mark of the 4th quarter on a Brady Braun 37 yard field goal.

      Trojans continue to improve with their second conference win of the season, by beating rival Roncalli 28 to 7. Carter St John threw for 188 yards on 9 of 13 passing and three touchdowns, two were to Ryan McGinnis and one to Thomas Coleman, a 51 yard reception that broke a close 7 to 7 game. McGinnis ended the game with 3 catches for 43 yards. Tommy Hannon led the rushing attach with 90 yards on 12 carries, his last a 57 yard scamper in the 4th quarter that sealed the game.

Carter St John threw for 243 yards on 17 of 29 passing, with two TD’s, one of 8 yards to Thomas Coleman and a second to Brady Kinnett of 10 yards. Kinnett put up 109 yards receiving on 6 catches to go with the TD catch. Tommy Hannon had the lone rushing TD in the third quarter.

      The Trojans get their second shutout of the season and dominate the Cardinals, putting up 424 yards vs. 109 yards for Southport. Carter St John threw for 337 yards on 20 of 27 passing and three TD’s all to Thomas Coleman. Coleman had 183 yards receiving on 8 carries to go with the 3 TD’s.

      The Trojans sweep their Circle City Conference foes with a 38 – 0 win over Guerin Catholic. This is the third straight conference football championship for the Trojans. The Trojans were dominate in the game putting up 380 yards to the 38 yards by the Eagles. Carter St John was 13 for 15 passing and 162 yards, with TD passes to Noah Carter of 30 yards and 11 yards to Logan O’Brien. The rushing attach was balanced as Tommy Hannon, Matthew Coons and Andre Moore combined for 200 yards on 31 carries. Coons, Hannon and St John all had rushing TD’s.

      The Trojans get a big win over 6A, 3rd ranked Merrillville. The offense was hitting on all cylinders, putting up 546 yards on 60 offensive plays. The rushing attach went for 253 yards on 36 carries, while Carter St John was 16 for 24 passing for 293 yards. Tommy Hannon had 3 rushing TD’s, while Matthew Coons added a 80 TD run early in the 4th quarter to put the game away. Noah Carter had a TD catch of 64 yards just four minutes into the game, to start the scoring. Noah ended up with 87 yards receiving, while Thomas Coleman had 88 yards on three catches.

      The Trojans ran away from Terre Haute North as Tommy Hannon carried 16 times for 136 yards and Matthew Coons went for 92 yards on 9 carries, both scoring TD’s. Carter St John was 14 for 16 passing for a 120 yards and two TD’s one to Thomas Coleman and the other to Zach Nondorf.

Tommy Hannon had two rushing TD’s, while Matthew Coons added a third on a 59 yard second quarter score. Jackson Bolen returned the second half kickoff 89 yards to put the game out of reach. The Trojans move on to the Sectional Championship vs. Brebeuf Jesuit next Friday.

      Trojans celebrate the first ever home game with a win against conference foe, Brebeuf Jesuit. Trojans start out slow, but get on the board with the season’s first score, at the 3:18 mark of the second quarter, with a 11 yard TD pass from Mark Nondorf to Andrew Sowinski. In the third quarter Junior running back Daylen Taylor took over with scoring runs of 26 and 47 yards. Daylen then topped of the scoring with a 16 yard reception on the first play of the 4th quarter. Taylor ended the day with 161 yards rushing on 18 carries and 16 yards on two catches. Nondorf completed 17 of his 29 passes for 173 yards and two touchdowns.

      After a slow start, the Trojans dominated Lawrence Central in the second half for a big win over the 6A Bears. Less than a minute into the 3rd quarter, Ryan Cheek intercepted a LC pass at the 12 yard line and headed to the end zone to tie the score at 17-17. After that the Trojans offense took over, Daylen Taylor ran for 208 yards on 35 carries. Mark Nondorf guided the offense on 14 of 24 passing for 198 yards and Jack Kassenbrock caught 8 passes for 98 yards.

      Trojans come away with a win vs. a tough conference opponent in the Roncalli Rebels. After taking a 14 – 0 lead in the first quarter on rushing TD’s of 9 & 1 yard by Daylen Taylor, the Rebels tightened the score to 14 – 13 in the third, before Mark Nondorf pulled the ball on a quarterback option and ran 44 yards for the last score of the game. Patrick Mastrian kept the Rebels from putting additional points on the board when he blocked both an extra point and a field goal attempt.

      Trojans beat the Cathedral Irish for the first time since 2012 in the heavy rain at Tech on Friday. Mark Nondorf connects on 14 of 23 passes and a TD. Jack Kassenbrock makes four catches for 102 yards , with a 72 yard TD catch and run in the second quarter. Patrick Mastrian has a big game defensively for the second week in a row, intercepting the Irish Quarterback twice.

      Trojans score six touchdowns on the ground, while rushing for a season high 354 yards, vs. 6A Southport. Daylen Taylor scored four times on his way to 226 yards and Tony Harrison scored twice, while adding 104 yards. Interceptions by David Whittemore and Patrick Mastrian helped to slow down the high powered Cardinal offense.

      The Trojans fall behind just 19 seconds into the game on a 79 yard run by the Guerin tailback. But the defense stiffens to only allow six point for the remainder of this Circle City Conference game. Daylen Taylor led the rush attack with 134 yards on 23 carries. His 37 yard run mid-way through the 4th quarter, breaking at least six tackles and carrying three defenders into the end zone, gave the Trojans the cushion they needed. Mark Nondorf threw for 96 yards on 8 for 14 passing, the biggest an 18 yard strike to Andrew Sowinski to regain the lead late in the second quarter. Sowinski caught five passes for 69 yards, in the game. With the win, the Trojans complete the sweep of conference foe’s and were crowned 2018 Conference Football Champions.

      The Trojans have a tough first half against the one loss Warriors falling behind 35 to 7, after giving up two touchdowns in the final 22 seconds of the second quarter. But the second half was a different story, as Ben Schrage was on the receiving end of three TD passes from Mark Nondorf to make it a game. Schrage finished with 144 receiving yards on 10 catches. He also was 5 for 5 on extra points to score 23 of the Trojans 35 points.

      The Trojans run into a strong opponent and fall behind 31-7 late in the second quarter against Covington (KY) Catholic, winners of 21 straight games. Then the Trojans turned it on and scored twice in the last minute and a half of the second quarter and once in the first 45 seconds into the third to cut the score to 31-28, but that’s as close as they could get. Mark Nondorf had another strong performance on 21 of 39 passing for 366 yards and five TD’s. Andrew Sowinski was on the receiving end of 10 passes for 253 yards and three TD’s, plus a 2 point conversion. John Marsella, caught 7 passes for 71 yards, with 2 TD’s

      The Trojan defense starts strong with a blocked punt, a fumble recovery and an interception returned for a TD all in the 1st Quarter jumping out to a 27 – 0 lead on the 5A Panthers. Tony Harrison scored on a pair of 2 yard runs and Mark Nondorf added one of his own. Pat Mastrian intercepted a South pass at the 3:50 mark of the 1st and returned it 36 yards for a TD. On the game Nondorf was 13/15 passing for 212 yards, with a 57 yards TD pass to Andrew Sowinski.

      For the second game in a row the Trojans get off to a fast start against the Raiders, scoring five TD’s and 33 points in the 1st quarter. Mark Nondorf threw two TD passes, Daylen Taylor ran for two TD’s while Tony Harrison and Max Weybright each had a TD.

      Sectional Final vs Indian Creek

      Trojans are sectional champions for the second year in a row, with a 42 – 6 win over the Braves of Indian Creek. The Trojans scored 14 points in each of the first three quarters to go up 42 – 0. Daylen Taylor and Tony Harrison each had two rushing TD’s, while Matthew Coons added one of his own. Taylor had 105 yards rushing on 20 carries, while Harrison had 61 yards on 10 carries. Mark Nondorf was 14 of 20 passing for 197 yards and an 8 yard TD pass to Ben Schrage.

      Regional vs Tri-West Hendricks

      The Trojans are Regional Champions for the first time since the 2015 State Championship run. The Trojans showed a balanced offense rushing for 205 yards with four TD’s and throwing for 227 yards with another four TD’s. Mark Nondorf threw for 226 yards on 15 of 20 passing, three TD’s and caught a 4-yard TD pass as well. Tony Harrison rushed for two TD’s, while Daylen Taylor and Matthew Coons each added one rushing TD. Andrew Sowinski caught four passes for 99 yards and a TD. Jack Kassenbrock and John Marsella each had a TD catch as the Trojans move on to the Semi-State vs. last years 3A Champion, Evansville Memorial.

      Joe Calvert led a strong showing by the Trojan Defense as he had 2 sacks, 2 interceptions, and several tackles. Kyle Cheek led the offense with several key passes to receivers Leo Dilts, Thomas Coleman, Matthew Semler and Tight Ends Tom Lemark and Joe Roberts. Running the ball was Derion Gilbert and Niko Asano.

      Derion Gilbert had the lone rushing touchdown for the Trojans. Ben Gilliam with the PAT. The touchdown for LC came on a turnover from the offense late in the game as the Trojans were driving to secure the win. The Trojan Defense played hard and only gave up two points on the conversion.

      TROJANS WIN IN OVERTIME!!!! This was an awesome game by both teams. Kyle Cheek was the player of the game with 2 rushing TDs, 3 passing TDs (one in overtime), and a 2pt. conversion to seal the game. Touchdown completions were to Leo Dilts(2), Jackson Bolen(1), and the 2 pt. conversion was also to Dilts. Jackson Bolen started off the 2nd half comeback with a kick-off return for a TD! Special mention to Joe Roberts who moved from tight end and played guard, and Kicker Ben Gilliam who had a successful onside kick with two minutes left.

      The Trojans were too much for the undermanned Southport Cardinals to handle in a 28-6 victory for the Trojans. Kyle Cheek scored in the 1st quarter on a pass to Matthew Semler. The next score came when Zach Nondorf blocked a punt and Kyle Haslett recovered it in the end zone. Cheek threw another TD pass, this time to Jackson Bolen. Then Matthew Coons closed out the scoring with an interception return for a TD. Ben Gilliam was good on all PAT attempts.The Cardinals once on offense and on defense scored late in the 4th quarter when the game was out of reach. Matthew Coons was the player of the game.

      The Trojans traveled to Bloomington on a last minute addition to the schedule. Early in the game Junior Andrew Squier was lost for the season on a bad injury. Fueled by this, the Trojans responded with 21 points in the first half. Junior Kyle Cheek threw 1 touchdown each to Thomas Coleman and Matthew Coons. Will Starliper scored a TD on a 2 yard run. In the 3rd quarter, Cheek threw a short pass to Matthew Coons who rumbled in from 25 yards out for the score. Ben Gilliam was good on all PAT attempts.

      The Trojans overcome a tough offensive performance from Terre Haute North to go 6-2 on the season. Andre Moore scored first for the Trojans with a rushing TD, the PAT was good by Ben Gilliam. The next two scores came from QB Kyle Cheek to WR Lewis Dilts, Ben Gilliam missed one PAT and the 2 pt. attempt from Cheek to Dilts just missed leaving the Trojans up 19-18. The Trojans went ahead 26-18 on another TD run by Andre Moore, Ben Gilliam made the PAT. The Patriots tied it up at 26 all by scoring a TD and 2 pt. conversion. The Trojans went ahead 33-26 with a TD run by Derion Gilbert, PAT try good by Gilliam. Cornerback Jackson Bolen ended the scoring on the day by returning an interception for the score, Gilliam PAT good. This was a great team win by the Trojans!! Special mention to Michael Duffy who just returned from an ankle injury to step up and play Middle Linebacker when he normally plays running back. Also impressive on the day was the O-line and WRs Thomas Coleman and Matthew Semler.

      It was a great day for football at Bishop Chatard High School for the final contest for your Junior Varsity Trojans! It was an awesome team victory as all players were able to play and showcase how well they had developed throughout the season. The Junior leadership on this team was outstanding and each player got better as the season progressed and grew closer to their full potential as a young man and player. It will be exciting to see how these players continue to develop and grow as Varsity players!

      Turnovers deep in Roncalli territory and offensive penalties doomed the Trojans in this hard hitting game. The defense was put in terrible position and Roncalli scored almost all of their points with a short field to start their drives.

      A hard Hitting Trojan defense shut out the Bulldogs and scored a touchdown of it own when Solomon Jacobs stepped in front of a Bulldog receiver to intercept a pass and raced 41 yards to the end zone. On the offensive side, Tanner Quackenbush had a pair of touchdown runs from 17 and 28 yards and added a 20 yard touchdown pass to A.J. Roseman. Carter St. John also tallied a 5 yard touchdown run and Simon Gramling was 4 for 5 on Point After Attempts.
