Will Kellison is named Male City Athlete of the Year

Will Kellison was recently named the 2018 Male City Athlete of the Year by the Marion County Athletic Association! Will was a three-year starter on the Bishop Chatard football team, playing defensive end and tight end, while the Trojans earned two sectional titles and a state championship. He was named All-City and earned all-state honors for two years as well as being named to the IndyStar Super Team as a senior. He was a significant player on the basketball team as a sophomore, though injuries kept him from playing as a junior and senior. Bishop Chatard hosts home football games!

Bishop Chatard’s varsity football program has an impressive legacy that includes 13 Indiana State Championships and many alumni who have had successful careers at the college level and beyond. What Trojan football has not experienced is a home football game. That is about to change. Join the Bishop Chatard community in August 2018 when we will host our first varsity football game in the Bishop Chatard stadium! Boys Golf advances to regional; Matthew Semler advances to State

Matt Semler advances to state

Congratulations to the BCHS boys golf team. They placed third in sectionals with a team score of 322 to advance to Regional play on June 7. There the team placed 8th with a team score of 329. The top 5 individual golfers not advancing with a team go on to play in the state tourney.

Matthew Semler advanced to the state tourney with a score of 76. He will play on June 12 and June 13 at Prairie View Golf Club in Carmel. Good luck Matthew!

Softball Team is Sectional Champion

Congratulations to the 2018 BCHS Softball team as they defeated Brebeuf, 10-2 to become sectional champions.

Trojans excel at State Track meet

Congratulations to the Bishop Chatard High School Girls Track Team on an impressive finish at the State Track Meet on June 1, 2018 in Bloomington. Beth Barnes was crowned the state champion in the 300 Hurdles, breaking her own school record with a time of 43.76. She became BCHS’s first ever female individual state champion! The 4×4 Relay team made up of Sydney Ragsdale, Katie Dietrick, Amelia Dessauer and Beth Barnes finished 5th in the state. The team set a new school record in the 4×4 with a time of 3:54.16. Softball Heads to Regionals: May 29

Congratulations to the 2018 BCHS Softball team, as they win the Sectional and advance to Regional play. They play Tri West at Tri West Hendricks, 7883 N SR 39, Lizton, 46149 on Tuesday, May 29, at 7:00 p.m. Go Trojans!

Lady Trojans head to State Track Meet in 3 events

Congratulations to the Lady Trojans heading to the State Track Meet! Girls qualified in 3 events to advance:
  • Beth Barnes: 100 and 300 hurdles
  • Sydney Hamilton Ragsdale, Beth Barnes, Amelia Dessauer and Katie Dietrick: 4 x 400 relay
The girls will be competing on Friday June 1, 2018 at Indiana University.

Alysa Guffey advances to State Individual Tennis Tourney

Alysa Guffey defeated her North Central Panthers opponent 3-6, 6-1, 6-1 in sectional play and is moving to the next round of play! She will face Roncalli in the 2018 IHSAA Individual State Tournament regional semi-final on Sat., June 2 at 10 a.m. at Fisher High School. Official Tennis Tourney Website Alysa is 15-5 and heads deeper into post-season play than any Lady Trojan dating back to circa 2002. Congratulations to Alysa on a well deserved honor! Go Trojans!

Girls Lacrosse advances to Regionals: May 29
