Senior bowler, Darrin Gee, has been named to the Indiana High School Bowling League’s All State Academic Team, which represents the top 4% scholars of the league in Indiana. Darrin bowled at Strike Force Lanes in Greenfield on Saturday, March 3. Congratulations to Darrin for his 3.6 GPA that made him the only qualifier from Bishop Chatard to attend this tournament.
Good luck to Reid Seymour who is competing in the Wrestling Semi-State Saturday, February 10, at New Castle HS! Reid is competing in the 126 pound division, and by placing in at least the top four would advance to next weekend’s State Championships!!
Senior bowler Lexi Padgett is going to semi-state for the second year in a row. Lexi finished 2nd overall in the Crawfordsville regional out of 9 girls advancing, with a score of 498 (3 games). She is the first back-to-back bowler to go to semi-state in Bishop Chatard history. Next Saturday she will bowl in Lafayette’s Mike Aulby Bowl. Congratulations to Lexi!
Congratulations to senior Lady Trojan Lexi Padgett, as she moves on to Regionals in Crawfordsville on Saturday, Jan. 20. Claire Hawkins was in contention to go as well but in the last game (3rd) another bowler scored a 200 and beat Claire out. In sectionals, the girls team bowled well and ended the tournament in 3rd place. Congratulations Lady Trojans!
Congratulations to Bishop Chatard retired tennis coach Dan McNally, who will be inducted into the Indiana High School Tennis Hall of Fame on February 2. The 27th induction ceremony will take place at Woodland Country Club, with social hour beginning at 6:15 p.m., and dinner and ceremony beginning at 7 p.m. Cost is $30. Congratulations to Edreece Redmond II, who was named the District 2 ‘Player of the Week’ for Week 6 (Dec. 4-9) by the Indiana Basketball Coaches Association.
“The 6-0 Redmond averaged 28.0 points and 4.0 rebounds in helping the Bishop Chatard boys open their season with two victories. Redmond scored 29 points with two rebounds, six assists and two steals in an 89-88 decision over Scecina in the Chatard opener. He followed with 27 points, including 20 points in the fourth quarter, plus six rebounds, two assists and three steals as the Trojans rallied from a 16-point deficit to edge Heritage Christian 60-59. Redmond was 18-of-29 from the field, 8-of-13 on 3-pointers and 12-of-16 on free throws over both games.”

Congratulations to the Bishop Chatard Boys Tennis Team!
For the second year in a row, they were named as a 2017 All-State Academic Team!
Sam Klineman also earned individual honors as First Team Individual Academic All-State.
Congratulations to Senior, Nathan Kolbus, who is competing in the Cross Country Semi-State Saturday, October 21, in Shelbyville.
Nathan advanced out of a tough regional that included 5 of the top 7 teams in the state. Nathan is the first BCHS boys cross country runner to advance to Semi-State in 10 years!

Congratulations to the girls soccer team, as they won the New Palestine Regional on Oct. 14 and are heading to the Semi-State!
The Lady Trojans defeated Danvillle, 6-1, in the Regional semi-final and Batesville, 3-0, in the Regional final.
Next action for the team will be against Evansville Memorial H.S. in the Semi-State Championship.
The game will be held at Evansville North H.S. (15331 Highway 41 North, Evansville, IN) on Saturday, Oct. 21. Game time is 3:00 p.m. (Indy time) or 2:00 p.m. (Evansville time).
