Congratulations to the 2018 BCHS Softball team as they defeated Brebeuf, 10-2 to become sectional champions.

Congratulations to the Bishop Chatard High School Girls Track Team on an impressive finish at the State Track Meet on June 1, 2018 in Bloomington. Beth Barnes was crowned the state champion in the 300 Hurdles, breaking her own school record with a time of 43.76. She became BCHS’s first ever female individual state champion! The 4×4 Relay team made up of Sydney Ragsdale, Katie Dietrick, Amelia Dessauer and Beth Barnes finished 5th in the state. The team set a new school record in the 4×4 with a time of 3:54.16. Congratulations to the Lady Trojans heading to the State Track Meet! Girls qualified in 3 events to advance:

• Beth Barnes: 100 and 300 hurdles
• Sydney Hamilton Ragsdale, Beth Barnes, Amelia Dessauer and Katie Dietrick: 4 x 400 relay

The girls will be competing on Friday June 1, 2018 at Indiana University.

Alysa Guffey defeated her North Central Panthers opponent 3-6, 6-1, 6-1 in sectional play and is moving to the next round of play! She will face Roncalli in the 2018 IHSAA Individual State Tournament regional semi-final on Sat., June 2 at 10 a.m. at Fisher High School. Official Tennis Tourney Website Alysa is 15-5 and heads deeper into post-season play than any Lady Trojan dating back to circa 2002. Congratulations to Alysa on a well deserved honor! Go Trojans!

The 2018 BCHS girls lacrosse team advances to regional play! Come cheer the Lady Trojans on as they meet Cathedral in Regionals on May 29 at 8:00 p.m. at Hare Chevrolet Field in Noblesville, 18000 N 19th Street, Noblesville. Good Luck team!

Senior bowler, Darrin Gee, has been named to the Indiana High School Bowling League’s All State Academic Team, which represents the top 4% scholars of the league in Indiana. Darrin bowled at Strike Force Lanes in Greenfield on Saturday, March 3.  Congratulations to Darrin for his 3.6 GPA that made him the only qualifier from Bishop Chatard to attend this tournament.

Good luck to Reid Seymour who is competing in the Wrestling Semi-State Saturday, February 10, at New Castle HS! Reid is competing in the 126 pound division, and by placing in at least the top four would advance to next weekend’s State Championships!!

Senior bowler Lexi Padgett is going to semi-state for the second year in a row. Lexi finished 2nd overall in the Crawfordsville regional out of 9 girls advancing, with a score of 498 (3 games). She is the first back-to-back bowler to go to semi-state in Bishop Chatard history. Next Saturday she will bowl in Lafayette’s Mike Aulby Bowl. Congratulations to Lexi!

Congratulations to senior Lady Trojan Lexi Padgett, as she moves on to Regionals in Crawfordsville on Saturday, Jan. 20. Claire Hawkins was in contention to go as well but in the last game (3rd) another bowler scored a 200 and beat Claire out. In sectionals, the girls team bowled well and ended the tournament in 3rd place. Congratulations Lady Trojans!
