The boys soccer team competed against Pendleton Heights in their official scrimmage on Thursday night. In two-25 minute halves, varsity fell 2-1 with Gabe Rivera scoring for the Trojans. In the one 30 minute period JV won 1-0. The boys will kickoff their season at home on August 19th against Cardinal Ritter.

After a long lighting delay, the Bishop Chatard boys soccer team took to the field against Herron on Thursday night. After a back and forth 1st half the Trojans took control of the 2nd half and came away with a 1-0 victory. Ben Harless recorded the assist and Gabe Rivera scored the game winner.

After another lightening delay the Bishop Chatard boys soccer team came away with a 5-1 win over Centerville. Mike Nash led the way with 2 goals and 2 assists, Henry Gebke recorded 1 goal and 1 assist, Gabe Rivera added a goal of his own, and freshman Gabriel McNamee scored his first varsity goals.

The Bishop Chatard boys soccer team fell short on the road at Covenant Christian on Thursday night. Brady Armstrong stepped up big in the first half and saved a penalty kick as the match went into half scoreless. The Trojans took the lead in the second half with a quick combination from Marcus Monachino and Jacob Treida to find Gabe Rivera in the box for the 1-0 lead. Covenant then scored to tie the match and won it on a pk.

The Trojans fell 3-0 to #1 ranked team in 2A Guerin Catholic on a rainy Saturday afternoon.

After a weather delay postponed the match on Tuesday night, both squads returned to action the following day. The Trojans got out to a hot start on their way to a 5-1 victory. Brady Armstrong recorded 10 saves on the night. Mike Nash had a hat trick and one assist, Gabe Rivera scored twice with one assist, Jacob Treida had two assists, and Cole Weber had his first career assist on the night.

The Bishop Chatard boys soccer team defeated Hamilton Heights in a weather shortened match on Tuesday night. Eight minutes into the game Danny O’Gara scored the game winning goal from a free kick that went near post upper 90. The match was called with 29:34 left in the second half because of lightening.

Varsity fell 1-0 at Park Tudor on Thursday night. Freshman Bryan Rodriguez had 10 saves on the night.

The boys soccer team earned a 2-0 win on Senior Day against Danville. Danny Bardol found the back of the net to give the Trojans a 1-0 lead at half. Will Johnson, Cade Weber, and Gabe Rivera secured the win with second half goals with passes from Bardol, Alex Rodriguez, and Danny O’Gara.

The boys varsity soccer team traveled to the South side and defeated Greenwood Christian 7-1 on Thursday night. Junior Henry Gebke scored his first two career varsity goals, senior Harry Montgomery recorded his first goal and assist and freshman Jake Anderson got on the stat sheet with his first varsity assist. Danny Bardol and Gabe Rivera had one goal and assist each. Will Johnson and David Harless had one goal each. Alex Rodriguez had one assist.

Bishop Chatard boys soccer team defeated Roncalli in a thrilling Circle City Conference match. Joe Mees put the Trojans up in the first half from a pass from Alex Rodriguez. Roncalli tied it up 1-1 in the second half and the game went into overtime. After two overtimes, Brady Armstrong saved two Roncalli penalty kicks as Chatard won 4-3 in PKs.

The varsity boys soccer team fell to Hamilton Heights 3-2. Harry Montgomery and Will Johnson scored for the Trojans.

Boys varsity soccer lost 2-0 to Plainfield in the first game of the Marauder Invite at Mt. Vernon High School. Will Johnson had two shots on goal and Alex Rodriguez had one.

In the second game of the Marauder Invite boys soccer fell 6-3 to Mt. Vernon. Juniors Mike Nash and Jacob Treida scored for the Trojans.

The boys varsity soccer team honored their nine seniors on Senior night against Park Turdor. Congratulations to Danny Bardol, David Harless, Will Johnson, Nicholas Machala, Joe Mees, Harry Montgomery, Isaiah Prophet, Cade Weber, and Nicholas Zink for all of your hard work, dedication, and leadership in pushing this program in the right direction these last four years.

The Bishop Chatard boys soccer team advanced to the IHSAA Sectional 27 Championship match after defeating Beech Grove 4-0 on Wednesday night. Danny Bardol scored two goals and one assist, Mike Nash and Ben Harless with one goal each, Will Johnson and Jacob Treida with one assist each.

It was a historic night for Bishop Chatard High School as the boys soccer team won their first sectional championship in school history. Freshman Gabe Rivera led the Trojans with two goals and one assists, Mike Nash scored twice, Danny Bardol had one goal and one assist, and Alex Rodriguez had one assist.

The boys varsity soccer team made their first IHSAA Regional appearance in school history. Trojans fell 3-0 to Guerin Catholic.

Varsity opened up the 2019 season at home against Cardinal Ritter. Down 1-0 Senior George Forsee tied the game up from the PK spot. At half the Trojans were down 2-1. A second half goal by the Raiders secured the game for Cardinal Ritter but the Trojans kept fighting until the end creating opportunities to stay in the entire game.

The Trojans fell to Circle City Conference rival Heritage Christian 1-0 in double overtime on Saturday night. The boys fought hard for 94 minutes and never gave up. The boys soccer team are in action again this Thursday at home against Herron.

The boys varsity team picked up their first win of the season against Herron on Thursday night. Danny Bardol led the scoring charge picking up his first career hat trick. George Forsee recorded his second goal of the season as well. Will Johnson (2) and Alex Rodriguez (1) had the assists.

Down 1-0 at half, Danny O’Gara and George Forsee found the back of the net for the Trojans. Alex Rodriguez had one assist and Will Johnson had 3 shots on goal.

Tuesday was senior night for the boys soccer team as the Trojans honored Michael Albin, Chase Capps, Leo Dagon, George Forsee, Matthew McQueen, and Liam Wojciechowski. After being down 1-0 at halftime the Trojans put the Trailblazers under pressure and David Harless was able to grab the equalizing goal with 19 minutes left in the game.

The boys soccer team pulled out the 2-1 Circle City Conference win against Roncalli on their final home match of the season Saturday afternoon. With the score 0-0 entering the 2nd half George Gamble got the Trojans on the board first. Roncalli battled back to even the score but Isaiah Prophet’s pass was flicked on by Will Johnson to George Forsee for the game winning goal.

The varsity boys soccer team went on the road to lock up a win and a shutout against Hamilton Heights. George Forsee scored for the Trojans and Danny Bardol picked up an assist.

The Trojans fell 2-0 to East Central.

The Trojans fell 2-1 to Brebeuf in their final Circle City Conference match of the season. Will Johnson recorded his first goal of the season with the assist coming from Mike Nash.

The Trojans fell to the #1 (1A) in the state on Thursday 4-0.

Bishop Chatard boy’s soccer kicked off their 2018 campaign with a 1-1 draw against Arsenal Tech on Tuesday night. After trailing at half, Jacob Treida found an open Joey Bartone off a corner who slotted the ball into the back of the net.

Danny Bardol’s cross found Tommy Hochstetler as Bishop Chatard led Guerin 1-0 at halftime. Guerin took a 2-1 lead with 10 minutes to play before David Harless tied it a 2 from a free kick. But Guerin scored the game winner with one minute remaining.

The Trojans took on their biggest rival Thursday at Lawrence Soccer Complex against Cathedral. The boys in blue and white were able to absorb Cathedral’s pressure the first half and were rewarded for their efforts as George Forsee put Chatard up 1-0 after 40. Although most of the second half was deadlocked at 1, David Harless’s free kick rang off the post with 10 minutes left in the match. After that, Cathedral was able to pull ahead with a 3-1 win.

On senior night, the Trojans fell 2-0 to Park Tudor. Before the match, the team honored Peter Agostino, Joey Bartone, Anthony “Poptart” Cuevas, Solomon Lee, Alec Ryden, Charlie Steadham, and Josh Teter-Mcurdy.

The Trojans defeated Tindley in the first round of the city tournament. Freshman Bobby Forsee and seniors Charlie Steadham and Poptart Cuevas scored their first varsity goals of their career against Tindley.

Bishop Chatard fell 4-1 in the second round of the City Tournament to Heritage Christian. David Harless’s first half goal gave the Trojans a 1-0 lead before Heritage tied it up just before the half. With 15 minutes to play, Heritage scored the game winning goal and pulled ahead.

The boy’s soccer team advanced to in the IHSAA Sectional 26 Championship after defeating Crispus Attucks 4-2. Goals were scored by Danny O’Gara, David Harless, Jacob Treida, and George Forsee.
