The boys team had many outstanding performances against an elite field. The highlight of the meet was the 4 x 4 of Kalen Sargent, Zach Gantz, Keaton Kuehr and Phoenix Boyer running a 3:19.35 and breaking the school record from 20005.

The Trojans battled Brebeuf back and forth and ended up winning the conference championship by 3 points. The established 4 meet records:

The 2024 BCHS Boys Trojan Track Team claimed their 4th straight City Championship. They won by 73 points over 23rd ranked Heritage Christian and Cathedral.

The boys track team competed in its last qualifying meet before the indoor track state finals, and had several solid contributions. Owen Teed, Will Johnson, Ethan Clapacs, Charlie Jacoba were meet champions in the 4 x 800 relay. Other medalists included: Owen Teed, Will Johnson, Ethan Clapacs, Charlie Jacoba (4 x 800 relay); Rylan Elliot: 7th place (shot put); Owen Teed, Will Johnson, Ethan Clapacs, Charlie Jacoba: 7th place (DMR); and Jack McGillicuddy: 8th place (high jump).

The boys team placed 21st of 32 teams at the indoor track state finals (small school division). Medalists were Owen Teed, Ethan Clapacs, Will Johnson, and Charlie Jacoba in the 4 x 800 meter relay.

The boys track team placed 3rd in the annual Archdiocesan meet. Events champions included Adam Pemberton (shot put), Thomas Joven (400), Ethan Clapacs (800), and Oskar Eisgruber (pole vault). Additionally, Curtis Richardson put in a strong performance with runner-up finishes in the 100 and 200.

Thomas Joven was the lone male BCHS sprinter competing at the meet, and had a strong 400 meter race, posting a time of 52.72.

The boys freshman team placed 3rd at the freshman city meet. Connor Moriarty was city champion in the 1600 and 800 meters; the 4 x 400 relay placed 1st as well.

Other medalists included the following athletes: Mayan Stickel: 3rd place (high jump), Miranda Stickel, Mary Bea Sowinski, Abby Underwood, Elaine Nickerson: 4th place (4 x 800 relay), Moira McGinley: 5th place (long jump), Alex Gantz, Mayan Stickel, Maria Christoff, Lily Johnson: 5th place (DMR), as well as Beth Barnes, Mary Bea Sowinksi, Amelia Dessauer, and Rebekkah Guess: 7th place (4 x 200 relay).

The Lady Trojans advanced several athletes to the state finals in windy and chilly conditions at Ben Davis. The following athletes qualified for the state finals at Indiana University: Beth Barnes (100H, 300H, 4 x 4), Mary Bea Sowinski (300H, 4 x 4), Katie Dietrick (4 x 4), and Mayan Stickel (high jump, 4 x 4). Beth Barnes was regional champion in the 300H, and the 4 x 4 relay was regional runner-up.

Nathan Kolbus was the meet champion in the 3200 meters, Nick Johnson placed 3rd in the high jump and the DMR relay of Ethan Clapacs, Thomas Joven, Charlie Jacoba, Nathan Kolbus placed 4th. Also, CJ Taylor achieved a personal best in the Shot Put.

The Girls Track and Field placed 4th in state and had many outstanding performances. The 4 x 4 relay of Sydney Hamilton Ragsdale, Beth Barnes, Miranda Stickel and Katie Dietrick were 4 x 4 State Champions and established a new meet record. Also, Beth Barnes placed 3rd in state in the 60 meter hurdles and the 4 x 200 relay of Barnes, Dietrick, Jenna Phelps, Amelia Dessauer placed 3rd. All 3 performances were indoor school records!
