      Cardinal Ritter
      W

The Trojan Boys Bowlers were on fire tonight to start the season. With only 2 weeks of practice there was no alley rust on them. All of the bowlers stepped up tonight and most earned us points with bowlers Jaime O’Brien bowling a 309 total and Aidan Zink a 347. I had to leave early for Parent -Teacher conferences but scores did not diminish in my absence. I am very proud of our bowlers and look forward to many victories both team and personal. I am super pumped to have my team back from last year!!!

      Avon
      L 1-19

We lost to the 1st place Avon bowling team. We held within 200 points most of the time and senior Aidan Zink gave us our only point. I see some improvement from last year in most of the guys and it is early yet so hope for some more victories. Match Thursday at Woodland Bowl at 4:30 against Ben Davis. Wish us well.

      Position Round
      W 15-5

The Trojan bowlers were on fire last night and pulled out a victory on Position Round night. We really bowl against every other team but were positioned against Brebuef Jesuit. Each bowler bowled twice in a game and we had ten games. Senior captain Aidan Zink was on fire giving us several strikes through out the night. Each bowler stepped up and contributed to help get the win. Rookie Van Hibbeln improved last night and am expecting good things from him this year. Too bad I have mostly seniors, I am going to lose this incredible team! :(

    • 11/22/22
      Brebeuf
      W 17-3

Huge victory for the Trojans. Ben Harless bowled a 193 but almost everyone gave us a point that night. It was a team effort and the team stepped up. One of our best victories.

      Plainfield
      W 16-4

Senior Jamie O’Brien bowled a 172,170 to lead the Trojans to a victory. Senior Zeke Jarzyniecki bowled a 170 to a highlight a great night. • 12/5/22
      Brownsburg
      L 17-3

We were firing but not on all cylinders. We had a few star frames though! We stayed close to a very tough Brownsburg team with senior Ben Harless bowling a 173, 175 (with a turkey) respectively and senior Aidan Zink as anchor bowling a 173, 166 game. We are continuing to improve and are staying consistent. The season is not over and we still have a few more victories to show! Stay tuned!

    • 12/8/22
      Cardinal Ritter
      W 11-9

We virtually split the match with Cardinal Ritter but came out 58 pins ahead of them to win the match! We were missing our Captain with illness but were determined to win this for the Zinker! Senior Anthony Grego came in at anchor for the second game and gave us match high 167 and senior Ben Harless bowled tough each game. Sophomore Nolan Jahn has been on fire the last couple of matches and won points in each game he bowled. The Trojans are at 500 and aim to keep moving up.

      Cardinal Ritter
      W 17-3

Our fairly new Trojan squad started the season off with a bang! Juniors Aidan Zink & Jamie O’Brien were smokin’ and led our team with a 2 game combo score of 319 for Aidan and 290 for Jamie. Other points were scored by juniors Ben Harless and Anthony Grego. Very proud of our squad and look forward to a great season of fun!

    • 11/1/21
      Avon
      L 2-18

This week we bowled against the 1st place team Avon and held our own the first game and scored two points by Jamie O’Brien (140) and Ben Harless (168) but could not keep up with this steamroller of a team. We still are improving and still predict some more wins.

    • 11/3/21
      Ben Davis
      L 2-18

We were only able to get two points this night from Ben Davis. We started out strong but then seemed to fizzle a bit. Nolan Jahn and Anthony Grego scored our only 2 points. We were just getting used to a new alley in Western Bowl. We are still learning the basics but everyone is giving their all.

    • 11/11/21
      Carmel
      L 11-9

Junior Aidan Zink and Nolan Jahn led the team with a 311 combined score but Nolan gave us 2 points and was on fire that night. He has really stepped up. Many of our bowlers stepped up to give us points but we just stopped short of the victory. I continue to be amazed at what these boys are doing. Junior Jamie O’Brien was very impressive all night getting the marks when we needed them. We bowl next on Monday for Position Round.

    • 11/15/21
      Position Round
      W 16-4

Tonight was Position Round where we bowl against every other team but we pre-bowled against the team right below us which was Cardinal Ritter and out of ten games we won 8 and received 16/20 points. As usual our team was on fire and there was no one hero. They are stepped up and our first game we even had a star game! This means everyone got a strike or spare!
No matter who I put in or what order they rose to the occasion! – We are getting better all the time and we are having fun, win or lose. Keep it up boys!!!

    • 11/22/21
      Brebeuf
      W 18-2

The Trojan bowlers were on fire and in sync last night. We had a star frame in the first game and took the majority of points in both games. Nolan Jahn led the way with a 151 and junior Zeke Jarzyniecki scored both points with a 147, 140. As usual everyone stepped up when we needed a score. We are 3-4 on the season and this is the best we have done in over 10 years! Ultra proud of our team! – More highlights to come!

    • 12/1/21
      Carmel
      L 6-14

We actually played against a bye team as there are only 7 boys teams but our scores were run up against the Carmel Greyhounds who was just below us in 5th place. Junior Jamie O’Brien scored 2 points for the Trojans tonight with a 128, 151. Also junior Aidan Zink came in the second game of the match and lit a fire to the Trojan team and lifted the team’s scores while bowling a 196 himself. I am very impressed that we are currently in 4th place as in recent history we have struggled to get to 3rd or 4th place. I am confident that we can do well as each bowler has gotten better and more comfortable on the lanes.

    • 12/5/21
      Brownsburg Bulldogs
      L 3-17

We bowled the No.#2 Bulldogs today in a prebowl match (some players could not make it tomorrow) and were still with 4 bowlers so our 5th bowler or vacant bowled ‘0’ for both games. Freshman Nolan Jahn scored 2 points with a 134,139 respectively. Also junior Aidan Zink bowled a 125 to give us another point. At full strength we would have given them a real run for their money. Three more matches and we are still in 4th but that is better than my teams have been in a while so am pround.

    • 12/9/21
      Cardinal Ritter
      W 10-10

The boys were on fire last night. We had several near star frames (all marks) and tight match ups. Many of the boys scored points in the second game but Junior and captain of the team Ben Harless scored two points with high games of 146 and 176. The team came through and continues to astound me with their spirit and persistence. It is hard to single a player out each week as this is a team sport and at one point or another they all shine and help the team out. I am so lucky to have them back next year! Go Trojans!

    • 12/16/21
      Position Round
      W 16-4

In our final regular season match we were bowling against Cardinal Ritter and easily defeated them. Our boys did as they have all season picking up where another leaves off and gets us the points when we need them. This was position round so it was really a team effort and the Trojans excelled!

    • 1/8/22
      Sectional
      Place 1596

We finished 5th in sectionals as a team with 1596 points and bowled well. Out of twelve baker games we bowled after 6 we were in 3rd place. We were hot but not enough. Anchor Aidan Zink provided a couple of ‘Turkeys’ which means 3 strikes in a row for us and the rest of team kept each other’s spirits up and motivated but we just could not maintain the scores needed to get a higher rank. Trojans have been highly motivated and willing to improve and I am so proud of them!!!
Cant wait to have them back next year!

The girls struggled at first to get something going but in the second game they started ticking. Sophomore Carly Schumaker scored our only 2 points today with 122, 127. Allison Fuydal bowled a 144 which I believe is a season high for her! We have 2 matches to go in regular season so anything can happen. Hopefully we will be back to full strength this Thursday!

    • 12/9/21
      Brownsburg
      L 18-2

The girls bowled the 1st place Brownsburg Bulldogs and was able to only score 2 points but should some enthusiasm coming from an early point by sophomore Catherine Thrasher with an 83 and sophomore Carly Schumaker bowling a 130 in the second game. The girls struggled this year to get a full team present but have done a fine job competing in the mix. Position round is next week at Woodland. This will seat us for sectionals.

2020-2021 Bowling Scorecard

    • 10/29/20
      Avon
      L 0-20

This was the first time for our BCHS boys bowling team bowling in a league and they did not disappoint. The score does not reflect the determination and pride they showed in going up against a very talented Avon team. Freshman Louis ‘the Rocket’ Rivelli bowled a 232 in two games to lead the Trojans but this was a team effort. We stood toe to toe with Avon for the first 4 frames of each game, getting strikes and spares when needed. Again for the first time ever bowling in league situation they did great and I am very proud of my team! Next up to Brownsburg, next Thursday to take on the Carmel Greyhounds.

    • 11/5/20

      L 18-2

We bowled the No.#1 Carmel Greyhounds and managed to gain 2 points thanks to freshman Mark Gejdos with a 157 and senior Owen Schultz bowling a 169. We are still coming together and I foresee a victory on the horizon. The team even has come up with a cadence and cheer. I wish we could have fans but with COVID it is hard. Keep reading my posts and look for our victories…

    • 11/9/20

      W 15-5

VICTORY!!! We didnt actually bowl Brebeuf tonight but because we were just below them and there are uneven teams our scores were staked with them. We won total pins for both games with the Seniors Jack McGowan, Andrew Fillenwarth and Captain Owen Schultz leading the way with Jack getting 1 pt and Andrew and Owen getting 2 points to secure the victory. Very proud of the team and knew we would come together. It is all about the team. We dont single one player out even though some may have a better night, we win or lose as a team and this team were BIG WINNERS toinight!!!

    • 11/11/20
      Brownsburg Bulldogs
      L 1-19

Our only point tonight came from senior Clay Williams who has been struggling but tonight bowled the high score of 133. It was a tough night for the Trojans but stayed in the fight and did not give up. This is a team sport and when we needed a strike or spare it happened but also happened for Brownsburg.

    • 11/19/20
      Position Round
      L 2-18

The boys were down a bowler this week and had to tough it out with 4 bowlers. We held our own against Ben Davis though we were really bowling against every team to seat us in the second half of the season. Seniors Jack McGowan and Owen Schultz stepped up when needed and gave us numerous strikes. As always it was a team effort. We bowl again on Monday at Brownsburg.

    • 11/23/20
      Brebeuf Braves
      L 3-17

Last night was a tough one to swallow. The boys bowled the Brebeuf Braves who were looking for revenge and got it. Our Trojans fought hard but could not overtake the lead but Captain Owen Schultz bowled a 196, 163 to give us 2 points and freshman Mark Gejdos bowled a 161 to give us our third point. We were still missing a few bowlers last night and maybe we need to be back to full strength but we are not done yet! We have 4 more matches left in regular season and we will score another victory! Stay safe and stay tuned.

Clay has really come a long way bowling with two hands and Owen is learning to find the sweet spot in his hook ball. The rest of the team picked up some marks along the way but we are still forging ahead to improve our rank by tournament time. We are tough Trojans and will be victorious!

      Cardinal Ritter scores
      2-18

Bowled 10 games against Cardinal Ritter. Each game was worth 2 points and we only won 1 game. This is always a tough night when bowlers have to alternate each frame so the whole team bowls one game and lineup changes. We took a while to warm up, in the 5th game we came out firing with 5 marks in a row (strike or spare) and then began to fizzle. We could not rise from the funk to win but some individual improvements took place. On to sectionals now on February 13th at Woodland.
