Girls Volleyball Team wins AVCA Team Academic Award

Congratulations to the 2016/17 Girls Vollebyall team, who recently received the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award.
The award, which was initiated in the 1992-93 academic year, honors collegiate and high school volleyball teams that displayed excellence in the classroom during the school year by maintaining at least a 3.30 cumulative team grade-point average on a 4.0 scale or a 4.10 cumulative team GPA on a 5.0 scale.

Nick Williams advances to State Golf Tournament

Congratulations to BCHS Trojan golfer Nick Williams as he advances to the STATE tourney! Nick shot 76 to advance to the State Tourney. The BCHS team placed 5th in Regionals, shooting 317. State finals play will be held at Prairie View Golf Club on Tuesday and Wednesday, June 13 and 14. Tournament starts at 9:45 a.m. each day. Good luck Nick!

Boys Golf Team advances to Regional Championship

Congratulations to the Boys Golf Team, as they advance to Regional competition!

The team shot 322 at Maple Creek Golf Course in the sectionals, to place 2nd out of 7 teams.  The top 3 teams advance.

Nick Williams shot a blistering 3 under 69 and won Sectional medalist honors by 5 shots. Nick played the last six hole 4 under par and accumulated seven birdies during his excellent round.

Other team scores were Patrick Guymon (81), Matt Guzek (84) & John Hurley (88).

The team plays in the Regional Championship on Thursday, June 8 at The Players Club, beginning at 8:00 a.m. Good luck Trojans!

Girls Lacrosse receives conference, regional, state and all-academic honors

Congratulations to the following Lady Trojan Lacrosse players on their conference, regional, state and all-academic honors!

  • INGLA All-Region South: Emma Kennedy, Sara Wallander, Lindsey Traub, Katie Duggan
  • INGLA All-State First Team: Emma Kennedy, Lindsey Traub
    INGLA All-State Second Team: Katie Duggan (goalie)
  • INGLA All-Academic: Sian Rhodes, Sara Wallander, Emma Kennedy, Katie Meek, Maeve Flynn
  • INGLA All-Tournament (selected from the Final 4 Teams): Sara Wallander, Lindsey Traub​
  • US LACROSSE All-Academic (formerly All American Academic): Emma Kennedy (one of 5 recipients in the state)

Girls Track in State Finals

Congratulations to the following Lady Trojans, as they competed in the 2017 State Track Finals on June 3.

Katie Dietrick placed 7th in the state with a 56.8 in the 400 meters.

The 4×4 relay of Katie, Beth Barnes, Miranda Stickel and Delaney Jacquay placed 11th in state.

Beth Barnes placed 13th in the state in the 300 hurdles.

Girls Lacrosse heads to Semi-State

May 25, 2017

Congratulations to the Lady Trojans Lacrosse team as they advance to the Semi-State game with a 10-9 victory over Brebeuf Jesuit. The stat of the game: 13 caused turnovers (4 by Emma Kennedy & 3 by Lindsey Traub). Scoring goals were Abby Saunders (3), Sara Wallander (3), Emma Kennedy (2), Kylie Donaldson (1), Izzy Corns (1). The defense was lead by Sian Rhodes & Lindsey Traub. Katie Duggan had 6 saves.

The team heads to the Semi-State game on Friday, June 2, against Cathedral High School. The game will be held at 8:00 p.m. at the White River Soccer Field, 19000 N. Cumberland Road, Noblesville 46060.

Three events in Girls Track advance to State Finals


Congratulations to the following Lady Trojans as they advance to the State Track Finals:

  • Beth Barnes: 300 hurdles (Beth was the regional champion in this event)
  • Katie Dietrick: 400 meters
  • Delaney Jacquay, Katie Dietrick, Miranda Stickel and Beth Barnes: 4 x 400 relay.

They will compete in the state meet on Saturday, June 3 at 3:30pm at Indiana University. Good luck Lady Trojans!

Royal Irish Rugby wins National Championship

Congratulations to the Bishop Chatard – Cathedral Royal Irish Rugby team, as they defeated #1 ranked Fort Hunt in the National High School Club Championship in Kansas City, MO. In a comeback effort at the end, the game was won with a 18-16 score. BCHS Trojan player Jake Christmann was named MVP. Read the article about the game in floruby.com
