Track Teams are 2024 Conference Champions, records set

Both the girls and boys track teams captured the 2024 Conference Titles on April 27. Six new meet records were set, plus ten were meet champions. The boys team won by 3 points and the girls by over 90.

  • 4 x 8 relay of Alex Teed, Morgan Engelman, Grace Leppert and Maggie Rushenberg
  • Julia Score -1600 meters
  • Sam Fenney – 100 meters
  • Kalen Sargent – 200 meters
  • Phoenix Boyer – 110 and 300 hurdles (This was also a new school record in the 300 hurdles)

Track Team has school record performances

April 22, 2024

The track and field teams had many outstanding performances on Fri, April 19, 2024, but the evening was highlighted with 2 school record performances:

  • Reese McKinney ran a time of 14.84 in the 100 hurdles and tied the school record established by Beth Barnes in 2019.
  • The 4 x 4 relay of Kalen Sargent, Zach Gantz, Keaton Kuehr and Phoenix Boyer established a new school record of 3:19.35 which broke a record from 2005.

Baseball North Deanery Night: April 20

Come watch the Trojans as they battle the Speedway Sparkplugs at 11 a.m. on Sat., April 20, 2024, at Bishop Chatard. The Trojan Horse will be firing up the grills to get everyone ready for an exciting day of baseball!

Girls Tennis North Deanery Night: April 15

Come see what BCHS tennis is all about! If you haven’t been to a Trojan tennis match, Monday, April 15, 2024, is the perfect time to check these athletes out!

The Trojan Horse will be there cheering for the team and we’ll also be celebrating our seniors. Any North Deanery girls interested in learning about the program and cheering for the Trojans are welcome!

The Match vs Heritage Christian starts at 4 p.m. at the Devon Country Club, 4600 Millersville Road.

Football Freshman Parent Meeting: April 11

April 4, 2024

2024 Freshmen Football Callout Meeting will be held on April 11, 2024, at 6:30 p.m. in the cafeteria. All parents and players that will be freshmen next year are invited to attend to meet with Coach Jennings and Coach Doyle.

Softball North Deanery Night: April 17

Bishop Chatard Softball North Deanery Night is Wednesday, April 17, 2024! Join the Trojan softball players as they battle the Guerin Catholic Golden Eagles.

The fun will start at 5 p.m. with North Deanery players being announced before the Varsity game starts. There will be snacks and prizes and a raffle every inning to select official bat girls for the game. All North Deanery players are welcome!

Cheerleading Clinic and Tryouts: April 17, 23, 26, 27

Come be a part of BCHS Cheerleading, a growing program that has big plans for the future!

Cheerleading Tryouts for incoming freshmen and current Bishop Chatard students will be held on Saturday, April 27 from 12:30 – 3:30 p.m.

Those interested in participating should attend the tryout clinics to learn the materials and learn about tryout procedures and expectations. Clinics are:

  • April 17 (Wed): 3:30 – 5:30 p.m.
  • April 23 (Tues): 3:30 – 5:30 p.m.
  • April 26 (Fri): 2:30 – 3:30 p.m.
All three of these sessions are open to current 8th grade students, as well as current BCHS students, and participants should plan to attend at least two of these sessions to ensure they have ample time to learn the material.
