William Pruitt had an excellent 2-under 34 on the back nine. Colin Kirchgessner played solid all day. Brady Armstrong almost made a hole-in-one on #7 and tapped in his 1-foot birdie putt.

BC played in the very competitive Hall of Fame Invitational at Rock Hollow GC vs the top teams and players in the state.
William Pruitt shot a one-over 73 on the hardest course we play on during the season. His score was good for 4th place out of 105 golfers and just one shot out of being a medalist. The other team scores were John Schaffer (89), Colin Kirchgessner (89), Nick Belby (90), and Brady Armstrong (100).

BC played in the golf sectionals at Maple Creek on Friday June3rd and shot an excellent team score of 319.
BC finished 2nd out of 10 teams and advanced to the Regionals on June 9, 2022. The BC team was led by William Pruitt who tied for 4th with a 76 followed by Colin Kirchgessner (78), Jack Feeney (82), Nick Belby (83), and John Schaffer (90).

BC played in the Yorktown Golf Regionals at The Players Club in Yorktown on June 9th.
BC had a team score of 337 that placed 11th out of 18 teams. William Pruitt led BC in scoring with a nice 2-over 74 that qualified him for the State Finals on June 14-15 at Prairie View Golf Club. William was T5 overall out of 110 golfers and T2 for golfers that qualify for State on teams that do not advance. The other BC scores were Nick Belby (81), Colin Kirchgessner (86), John Schaffer (96), and Jack Feeney (96).

William Pruitt recorded an excellent 79 in the 1st round of the IHSAA State Golf Finals at the Prairie View Golf Course. After a rough opening nine holes, William made two birdies on the incoming nine for an even-par 36.
The 79 put him in a tie for 38th out of 100 golfers after the 1st round.

William Pruitt completed the 2nd day of the State Golf Finals with an excellent 82. Will recorded three (3) birdies on his 2nd nine holes for a one-over-par 37. The two-day score of 161 (79+82) put him in a tie for 49th place out of 100 of the best HS golfers in the State.

Bishop Chatard finished with an excellent team score of 335 in the Edinburgh invite at Timbergate golf course in Edinburgh, IN. The team finished in a tie for 3rd out of 20 teams. William Pruitt had a low team score of 76 and finished 10th overall. Other team scores were Matthew Semler (84), Joe Mees (87), Colin Kirchgessner (88), and Clay Fox (93)

Bishop Chatard was the host school for the 11th Annual Highland Invitational. BC recorded an excellent team score of 326 on a cool and windy day and placed 5th out of 8 teams. Jack Feeney (91) and Zach Klipsch (97) played as individuals in their first High School Varsity competition.

BCHS played in the Golf Regionals @ The Players Club in Yorktown, IN on June 6, 2019.
BCHS recorded a team score of 344 and placed 11th out of 18 teams. The low BC score was Ben Schrage with an 81 followed by Matthew Semler (85), Ben Annakin (88), Clay Fox (90) %26 John Schaffer (101).

BCHS Varsity hosted the 9th Annual Highland Invitational and place 5th out of 7 teams on a cold and windy day. Patrick Guymon finished in a tie for 2nd with an excellent 75 that included four birdies.

BCHS hosted Speedway HS @ Hillcrest CC and lost the duel match 171 (BCHS) vs 165 (Speedway HS). Patrick Guymon was medalist with an excellent 2-over par 38. Matt Guzek & Ben Schrage recorded 43’s for the 9 hole match.

BCHS Varsity Golf played Roncalli HS @ Heartland Crossing GC and lost the dual match by 7 strokes. Patrick Guymon & Ben Schrage both recorded 40’s for the low BCHS score.

BCHS Boys golf played in the Terre Haute South HS invitational at Rea Park. BCHS team score of 332 placed 6th out of 17 teams. Patrick Guymon tied for overall 3rd place with an excellent 3 over par 75. Other team scores wer P.J. Butler: 83, Ben Schrage: 86 & Matt Guzek: 88.

BCHS Boys Varsity Golf played Lawrence Central HS @ Old Oakland GC and won the dual match (BCHS=165 & LC=218). Patrick Guymon & P.J. Butler shared medalist honors with an excellent 39 on a rainy day (other team scores by Ben Schrage=43, Matt Guzek=44 & Matthew Semler=44).

BCHS Boys golf played a 3-way match between Speedway HS & Franklin Community at the very difficult Brickyard Crossing on a beautiful sunny day. The match covered ten (10) holes and the BCHS score was 187 (Patrick Guymon=43; Ben Schrage=45, P.J. Butler=48, Matt Guzek=51).

Boys Varsity Golf played in the Lebanon HS invitational @ Ulen CC on a cold and windy day. The varsity team score of 362 placed BCHS 12th out of 16 teams. The invite included several ranked teams. Patrick Guymon recorded the lowest BCHS score of 82 and Matt Guzek shot an 89. Patrick Guymon had an eagle 2 on a par 4 after his second shot from 150 yards out found the cup!

BCHS Varsity Golf played Cardinal Ritter @ South Grove Golf Club and won the dual match vs Cardinal Ritter on a pleasant sunny afternoon (BCHS=173 ; Cardinal Ritter=192). Patrick Guymon was medalist with an excellent 2 over par 37. Patrick made a 50 foot birdie putt on the 1st hole. The other team scores were Matthew Semler=41, Matt Guzek=46 & Joey Schaffer=49. P.J. Butler recorded a 44 as an individual.

BCHS Boys golf played Covenant Christian in a dual match played at South Grove Golf Course on a sunny and windy day. BCHS won the dual match with a team score of 167 vs 175 for Covenant Christian. Patrick Guymon recorded the low BCHS score of 38 followed by Matt Guzek (42), Ben Schrage (42), P,J. Butler (45) and Matthew Semler (46). Joey Schaffer shot 43 as an individual player.

BCHS place 3rd in the City championship. Patrick Guymon finished in 3rd place overall with an excellent 1-over par 71 to earn All-City honors. The other BCHS team scores were Matt Guzek: 80, Matthew Semler: 81, Ben Schrage: 84 & P.J. Butler: 85.

BCHS played in the Brownsburg Invitational @ West Chase Golf Club. The low score for BCHS was Ben Schrage with an 80 followed by Matthew Semler: 82, Patrick Guymon: 83, Matt Guzek: 84 & P.J. Butler: 85.

BCHS had a dual match with Ben Davis @ South Grove. Matt Guzek was medalist with an even-par 35. The other BCHS team scores were Ben Schrage=39, Patrick Guymon: 41, Joey Annee: 42, Matthew Semler: 43 & P.J. Butler: 44.

BCHS played 2-man team match vs Brebeuf at the Golf Club of IN. Team Guymon/Stewart (35 vs 30), Team Guzek/Annee (38 vs 38), Team Butler/Schrage (39 vs 38) & Team Semler/Schaffer (42 vs 52). The 2-man team match was a 3-hole best ball, 3-hole alternate shot & 3-hole scramble. BCHS lost the 3 out of 4 matches (117 vs 111) but won the 4-team match (153 vs 159).

BCHS participated in the Angola HS invite in Angola, IN on May 12th. The invite was shortened to eleven (11) holes due to inclement weather. Patrick Guymon was medalist with an even-par total after 11 holes. Patrick was 3 under after 8 and recorded an excellent 2 under front 9. Matt Guzek received the 10th place trophy with a 4 over performance. The other BCHS scores were P.J. Butler: 54 & Matthew Semler: 55. Ben Schrage had to withdraw due to a bad back.

BCHS played Lebanon HS in a dual match vs Lebanon HS at Hillcrest CC and won 172 vs 197 on “Senior Night”. Patrick Guymon was medalist with a 1-over par 37. Other BCHS team scores were Matt Guzek: 45, Joey Annee: 45, Mitchell Stewart: 45, P.J. Butler=49 & Joey Schaffer: 51.

BCHS played in the Circle City conference championship @ Heartland Crossing. Patrick Guymon shot an excellent 1-over par 73 and finished in 2nd place overall earning all-conference honors. The other BCHS team scores were Matt Guzek=87, Ben Schrage=88, Matt Sermler=90 and P.J. Butler=90.

BCHS played in the highly competitive Woodland Invitational featuring four (4) of the top-ranked teams in the state. Ben Schrage recorded the low BCHS score with an excellent 81 on a long and difficult Woodland CC layout. Other team scores were Patrick Guymon=83, Matthew Semler=85, Matt Guzek=86 & P.J. Butler=91.

BCHS Varsity golf played in the Muncie Central HS Invitational at The Players Club Golf Course in Yorktown. Patrick Guymon shot 80 for the low score for BCHS. The other BCHS team scores were Matt Guzek: 82, Matthew Semler: 87, Ben Schrage=89 & P.J. Butler: 97.

BCHS Varsity golf played Cathedral in the Annual Irish Cup tourney @ Maple Creek Golf & CC. The annual match is a 2-man best ball front-nine competition and individual match play back-nine competition. All fifteen matches were very close. Patrick Guymon & P.J. Butler led the way for BCHS with excellent 76’s.
